Grow Your Church

What would FCC look like if, in the next five years, we grew not just in the strength of our hearts and our spiritual practice, but also in our numbers? What if our Sunday attendance doubled in that time, or even tripled? How much more of an impact would we be able to make on our communities and our city? How much stronger would our witness for peacemaking, justice, equity, and inclusion be? What kind of potency would we be able to harness for the work of healing the world as our sacred community grows and multiplies like a wild vineyard, a mustard tree, leaven in the dough, that leaves a powerful legacy for generations to come?

If you’re curious about these questions and would like to find out how we can discover the answers by becoming a growing church again, we want you to join us after church on March 13th for an introductory workshop to a little book called Grow Your Church! Written by UCC pastor Rev. Tracy Barnowe, this small but mighty book lays out a no-nonsense, statistically proven method for helping progressive churches recover their integrity, heal the wounds caused by toxic stripes of Christianity, and grow in community strength and engagement—and numbers, too.

This method can be practiced by anyone, and our goal is to assemble a team of people who are trained in it and ready to do the work of drawing the circle wider still. If you’re interested in learning more, please plan to join us on the 13th! If you would like to read the book before the 13th, we have copies available at the Welcome Center ready for you.

The suggested donation for the book is $15.
