Spring 2025 Wisdom School: Fight the Powers
Are you seeking a deeper understanding of how systems of power shape our world—and how faith can guide us toward transformative action?
Christian theologian and anti-apartheid activist Walter Wink's The Powers That Be: Theology for a New Millennium offers a groundbreaking exploration of the spiritual dynamics behind social and political systems.
In this accessible and inspiring work, Wink invites readers to confront the Powers of injustice with a politics of hope rooted in active nonviolence and the exercise of spiritual power. As St Paul says, “our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers and principalities in the heavenly places.”
In today’s divisive political climate, Wink’s call to resist domination and work for justice feels more urgent than ever. Together, we’ll explore how his insights can inspire us to live out our faith in ways that heal relationships, restore communities, and renew hope.
