Installation of the Rev. Nate Craddock at FCCBC
In the United Church of Christ, when a new pastor comes to a congregation, the pastor enters into a formal covenant with the congregation and the Association (our regional family of congregations) to be in mutual ministry with one another.
This happens at a service called an "installation," a magical moment where pastor, congregation, and association all say "yes!" to one another and "yes!" to the mutual ministry God is calling all of us to.
Usually this happens within 90 days of the pastor's call starting...
...unless, of course, a global pandemic starts during the new pastor's first week on the job.
This long-awaited party will mark the official beginning of Pastor Nate's covenant with us and our covenant with him and the Southwest Association of the Michigan Conference UCC to be in mutual ministry together for the long haul, weaving God's dream of the world made whole again and doing our part together to make that dream a reality.
We'd be honored for you to join us on Sunday, July 18 at 3pm. You'll get to reconnect with our broader church setting, celebrate the work of God in our lives, hear a stirring message, receive Communion, and feast together with us at the reception to follow!
