Rev. Nate Joins UCC Leadership Development Initiative
In early 2021, Rev. Nate submitted an application to the Next Generation Leadership Initiative, "...a leadership development initiative that equips, energizes, and empowers younger United Church of Christ local church pastors to build vibrant congregations that change lives and further God’s mission in the world." He recently learned that he has been accepted to NGLI, starting with his cohort in November 2021.
The NGLI is a six-year ongoing formation program with specialized training in family systems theory, leadership and team development, and spiritual formation, meant to help local churches become all that they can be through supporting local church pastors.
This leadership development program has a profound effect on younger clergy and the congregations they serve. Rev. Nate had the good fortune of coming into the UCC by way of Hope UCC in Alexandria, Virginia, under the leadership of NGLI alumna Rev. Amber Neuroth, and has seen first hand what participating in this program can do for clergy and the congregations they serve.
