Garden of Dreams childcare began as a ministry outreach of First Congregational and continues to provide quality education and childcare services to the Battle Creek community, even in the midst of these chaotic times. The GoD board is currently seeking FCCBC members willing to serve a three-year term to support and guide our closest community partner.

Changes to the Sanctuary Organ

In the fall of 2020, the Church Council was provided with an update regarding the organ in our Sanctuary. This update included a new quote from an organ builder/repair team with a plan to allow the organ to continue to be playable while addressing safety concerns.

COVID 19 and In Person Worship

We have all grown so accustomed to the words “unprecedented” and “uncertain” since March of 2020 that they have likely lost much of their meaning. We continue to meet the ongoing challenges of this global pandemic individually, as family units and as a faith community. The Church Council of FCC continues to revisit the risks and benefits of reopening for in person worship. The rollout of vaccination efforts have provided some hope and light at the end of the proverbial tunnel.
